Description

The lion was an important symbol to the ancient Egyptians, capable of representing danger, chaos and aggression or in contrast, protection and the destruction of chaos. It was a secondary attribute of several gods, and also of the king. The Egyptian lion represents power and vitality. It can be a worthy opponent, a capable defender or a violent avenger.
