Mimi’s Peach Preserves: Mimi is Hannah's special name for her mom, Nancy. My very favorite way to use Mimi’s Peach Preserves is to make an out-of-this-world, easy-to-make BBQ sauce for chicken or ribs. I just mix about 3/4 of a cup of the preserves with about a cup of ketchup or tomato sauce, a few tablespoons of whatever BBQ sauce I have on hand, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and whiskey or bourbon (or apple juice as a substitute). Next, I bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for about 20 minutes. When cooled, I jar it, and put it in the fridge for at least eight hours. It tastes best that way.
